How we got started...

We are a family of four: George, Argie, Karin, and Daniel. On a trip to the Dominican Republic in June of 2009, we were overwhelmed by the incredible poverty. Karin, who has always had a big heart, was the first to dream! In fact, Karin was the inspiration for going to the Dominican Republic on a family mission trip in the first place!

We all came back from that first trip wanting to do more. So we partnered with our cousin, Pastor Rafael Olivo, who has devoted his life to serving the poorest of the poor in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Our first efforts to send some food in December 2009 resulted in 4 TONS of hunger relief supplies going to the region! All of our friends and family made it happen; we were just fortunate to have a front row seat!
